Food security is a priority for the Scottish Government.  But what does this mean?  Essentially its means that everybody has access all of the time  (both physically and in terms of affordability) to safe and nutritious food that meets dietary needs and enables healthy living.  (Scottish Government website 2015)

Eco Schools

Many of East Renfrewshire schools have acheived their green flag award.  This includes St Marks and Hillview Primary in Auchenback both of which have benefitted from being involved Auchenback Actives Climate Challenge projects.
